Red Day for Tiny-Tots
Pre- Nursery and Nursery Classes of St. Stephen’s School, Togan celebrated a Red Day in the school on Friday, May 06, 2016. It was a fun-filled activity where the tiny-tots were made familiar with the colour RED which was especially chosen for these children as it attracts them the most.
The teachers enacted the story of “Little Red Riding Hood” in a very entertaining manner. Teachers were dressed as the Fairy, the Wolf and the Riding Hood while narrating this story. The presentation came as a powerful way of teaching these young minds.
Moreover, the students were also given a refreshment of seasonal fresh watermelons and Rooh-afza (served in red cups) as they both are rich in colour red. The children also participated in a Colouring Competition where they all coloured the shapes of apples and cherries. The event turned out to be a great success as this is the best way of teaching colour recognition to small children. The students thoroughly enjoyed this activity as well as learnt a famous fable through fun & games.
